Social Media Policy

This policy is designed to foster a safe, supportive, and positive online presence for the club.

1. Positive and Respectful Communication

All posts, comments, and messages on club social media platforms should be respectful, inclusive, and free from offensive language, harassment, or discrimination. Encourage constructive and positive interactions that reflect the club's values.

2. Privacy and Consent

Avoid sharing personal information of other members without their consent. Ensure that any content featuring minors has explicit permission from their guardians.

3. Content Standards

Posts should align with the club's values, promoting mountain biking, safety, environmental respect, and community. Refrain from sharing inappropriate, controversial, or divisive content that may harm the club's reputation.

4. Representation of the Club

Only committee members can post on behalf of the club or respond to inquiries in an official capacity. Personal opinions shared on social media should not be presented as the club's stance.

5. Respect for Trails and Landowners

Share and promote responsible trail use, including proper maintenance, etiquette, and respecting access permissions from landowners.

6. Monitoring and Moderation

The club reserves the right to moderate posts, comments, and interactions on its platforms to ensure adherence to this policy. Inappropriate content may be removed; repeat violations could result in suspension or removal from the group or loss of membership.

7. Promotion and Sponsorships

All promotional content or sponsorship announcements must be approved by the club's committee before posting.

8. Reporting Issues

Members are encouraged to report any inappropriate behaviour or content to the club's committee using the Contact link at the bottom of this page or from the homepage.
